Waterborne Sealers and FinishesBorn to reduce solvent emissions in works environments, water-based products have remarkably improved during the years, so that the performance gap at first existing between waterborne and solvent-based products is by now nearly bridget. The line of waterborne products developed by CARVER since 1978 consists of different types of finishes, bonding for filler, sealers and wood stains. The single and two-component finishes are easily applied, offering a good chemical and physical resistance. Particularly valuable the esthetical results that can be obtained in satin, mat and super-mat sheen finishing. For woods containing tannin (oak, chestnut)it is recommended to do a preliminary test. As for their abrasion resistance, please see the remark concerning the solvent-based finishes on page 12. Sealers and FillersSTUCCO AQ
Single-component, solvent-free bonding agent for the preparation of filler. STUCCO AQ mixed with fine sanding dust will have the same colour as the wood. It can be used with waterborne finishes, solvent-based finishes and impregnating oils. Standard packaging: 10 L FONDO 300
Single-component, acrylic sealer for wood floors and other surfaces. Excellent for use with light wood species where changing the colour of the wood is not desired. Particularly suitable for recoating with AQUAHIT and OMEGA finishes. Standard packaging: 10 L RAFFAELLO
Two-component acrylic-polyurethane sealer with high solid content, for wood floors and other surfaces. Very high build, RAFFAELLO gives the wood a solvent-finish look, deepening its tone and enhancing its grain. Particularly suitable for recoating with Carver two-component waterborne finishes. Can be used on ipé lapacho. Standard packaging: 5 L + 1 L GIOTTO
Single-component, polyurethane sealer for wood floors, suitable also for cork surfaces. GIOTTO gives the wood a solvent-finish look, deepening its tone and enhancing its grain. It can be used with all Carver waterborne finishes. Standard packaging: 10 L FAST 2004
Single-component, waterborne, acrylic-polyurethane sealer for wood floors and other surfaces. FAST 2004 allows rapid abrading and can be coated over with all our waterborne finishes. Excellent for use where changing the colour of the wood is not desired. Standard packaging: 10 L
